Yesterday I talked about how Elin’s interview reminded me that the pain of finding out your husband cheated is universal. Today I will talk about how having money and being famous impacts you when you find out your husband cheated.

Now, I am sure there are instances of this, but typically, when a famous married person is involved in a cheating scandal, very rarely do they stay married (or living in the same house) for very long. There are relationships all over the world where the husband is caught cheating and the marriage survives, if your famous and have money, statistically, your chances are very slim.

When you have money, things don’t get as ugly because you don’t have to stay in the same house. With most of us ‘regular folk’, the husband cheats and the next day/week, ect, he is still sleeping at the house. This causes for tension and drama at times. I feel like one of the main reasons divorces get messy is because people stay under the same roof until it gets ugly. On a postitive note, living under the same roof after the affair sometimes gives the both of you a chance to talk and understand each other better.

When you have money, you can pay for some ‘think time’, in which you can go away for a week (with or without your husband) and just think about the situation. Most of us (without a ton of money) have obligations in which we have to squeeze dealing with this in between kids, work, cleaning the house, ect. And even if you do have money, kids my limit you in the amount of ‘think time’ you have.

Lastly, when you have money, you can pay for the top therapists to help your individually and as a couple. I think going to a top specialized therapist can do wonders for you recovery efforts.

I know I probably missed some things here, if you think of some, let me know!

Elin finally broke her silence concerning the Tiger Woods affairs. One thing is for sure, the pain of an affair is universal. Yes, she has a ton of money, but I can tell through her interview that she felt the same deep wound that we all feel when we find out that our husband is not the man we thought. Elin seemed like she was in the same boat as most of us in our thinking prior to finding out. Our husband is loving, we have our arguments, but he would never cheat on me, especially cheat on me with a wh*&*. Or he would never disrespect me, involving other people, blatantly going out with other women in public, ect. New Flash – all men are capable of cheating in a disrespectful manner.

Elin talked about the embarrassment – if you affair is known, you have been there. I can say to a certain extent I am still there at times, there is still a very small part of me that harbors some embarrassment in talking with others about it, but I am getting better everyday.

Elin talks about the anger, the pain, the depression – we have all been there. At the end of the article, I smiled in knowing how universal our feelings are when our husband cheats. It’s a shame that there is not a ton of stuff out there that bonds us together through this experience because it is usually a taboo topic. I hope to change that one day, giving women somewhere to go and talk to someone who has been through the experience. The site is just the beginning.

Tomorrow (Part II) I will talk about how money did help and impact Elin in her time of recovery, because I do think having money does help the situation.

Now, I would like to speak to what money does when your husband cheats

Huffington has a good recap of the People Magazine story -

I was reading the news today about this American Popstar from American Idol named Fantasia that will potentially be sued for having an affair. What is even more interesting is that North Carolina (where the divorce papers are filed) is one of 7 states where you can sue the actual home wrecker for ruining your marriage. This is good because some women sleep with married men and really don’t care that they are ruining a entire family by doing so. They use that lame line ‘you should be keeping your husband happy’ or ‘your husband deserves to be happy’. Now I do believe that the husband should bear the brunt of responsibility. He is the one that took the vow. At the same time, women need to be held accountable for their actions. I think nothing will change just because the law is there, BUT all we need is one good example of ‘the other women’ paying a big price because of this law, and it just might make some women think twice. Or will it just cause these women to get sneakier?? Food for thought…..

Sandra Bullock is a great actor, but she now can join our circle, because her husband cheated on her.
This is what makes me upset. Sandra is like me in that she is a good girl. She is the American standard for good girl. But of course, her husband did what most cheating men do. They marry the good girl, but secretly they want the crazy, nasty, bi*&*. So they play the good girl (because us good girls are so trustworthy and faithful), all the while they are cheating. Use good girls are so trusting that we never would think that our husbands would cheating in a manner that is outright embarrassing (like Jesse and Tiger). We cook, clean, take care of their kids, they would never do something like cheat with 3 or 4 different women? They would never be so dumb as to cheat with some low life that has nothing going for them.
But unfortunately ladies, cheaters don’t think with their brain, they think with their lower head, and it is really sad to see them risk hurting the people that they love so much.
Sandra was just talking on TV about how Jesse was her rock and giving him all the credit in the world for why she was successful. She is probably somewhere between angry as hell and depressed. Maybe I should send her my free ebook, it might may her feel a little better. That’s all for now, till next time!!

So i watched Tiger make his public apology yesterday, and it was lame for a couple of reasons.

1.) Way to scripted. It’s like he is a robot now. I almost feel someone is telling him how to execute every move, and regardless of his actions, being a ‘robot’ for the media is not cool. I did not feel the words that he was saying, maybe because he was reading from paper. I also have to realize that he didn’t sign up to be a professional speaker, he is a golfer who cheated on his wife. At the same time, I remember a few years ago when Micheal Vick – football player who ran a dog slaughter house apologized for his disgusting inhumane actions before going to jail, and I didn’t feel that it was scripted, I felt that he accepted full responsibility and wasn’t looking for sympathy from anyone.

2.)Tiger is in Therapy? Come on. I could see marriage counseling, but him going into therapy for 2 months does nothing for me. It is almost implying that he was ‘delusional’ when he cheated with all of those women. He knew what he was doing, he was just an arrogant liar that put his selfish needs before his family, and everyone who supported him. This behavior is typical of any man who cheats on his wife, sooooo…why personal therapy? Again, I think he is doing therapy because his PR person told him to.

3.) Leave my family alone – really? I have mixed feelings about this. Your famous, you cheat on your wife multiple times and now your asking the public to leave your wife and kids alone. I agree that they don’t deserve it at all, at the same time, the way that he asked people to leave them alone didn’t sit with me well, not sure why. Men just don’t realize the impact that they have when they cheat, it affects children and family for years to come.

The one thing I did like is that he apologized to his foundation and all the kids that looked up to him and respected him. There are ton’s of kids out there that love and idolize Tiger Woods and I definitely think an apology was in order.

I still have respect for Tiger’s parents and his work ethic as a golfer. His was raised with such discipline and focus when it comes to golf, it is amazing.

As far as him cheating on his wife, I honestly get angered by it just as I would when I think of my own husband. I feel for Erin and the situation she is in (although I think her having money will allow her more flexibility than me:). Till next time ladies!!

So John Edwards, had an affair, had unprotected sex, and got the women pregnant, great job. His wife is really resilient. In some weird way I feel that men cheat on their wives at times when the wives really need them the most (cancer, pregnancy, depression). Anyways, this is a really tough situation. First you have to deal with infidelity, now you have to deal with a child outside of the marriage, that has to be emotionally scarring. A person is born into this world out of a situation that is so painful to you. You can not be hateful towards the child, because they did not come into this world by their own means, they are innocent by nature. At the same time, every time you hear about the child, it brings back memories of lying and deceit, and the pain that your husband has caused. With all of the diseases and things out there, men still have unprotected sex with ease. Again, like most dumb men, John Edwards trusted a women who he thought was on his side. She probably told him she was on the pill, and got pregnant on purpose as an attempt to pull him away from his family. Who wins in the end – nobody. So lesson for all of you cheating men – DON’T TRUST THE OTHER WOMEN – SHE WILL SCREW YOU OVER!! Here is food for thought, how about trusting your wife, the one that has been there for you…..naw, that makes too much sense. Good night ladies!!

I had the great opportunity to watch the Barbara Walter’s special on ABC. Surprisingly, two of the women are women who have go through the pain of a cheating husband. Kate Gosselin and Jenny Sanford. I really enjoyed Jenny Sanford’s interview. She had such strong conviction in the way she felt, and her confidence was something that should be an example for all of us in our journey.

Jenny’s husband was the one who was cheating on Jenny with some girl from Argentina. After Jenny found out (and before it got out to the press), Jenny moved herself and her 4 kids out. She told her husband not to contact her or the kids for 30 days. She was thinking that her cheating husband would come to his senses and see what he had to lose. Unfortunately, he still didn’t get it. At that point, she moved out for good and has never looked backed. While most famous women or women in political positions stand by their man during public appearances after the affair, she didn’t. She was moving on. The BEST thing that she said in the entire interview is this “Certainly his actions hurt me, and they caused consequences for me, but they don’t in any way take away my own self-esteem. They reflect poorly on him,” WOW…..that was a powerful statement. If we could all bounce back with that attitude after our spouses cheated the world would be a better place!! I think each woman’s journey is different. For me, I don’t think I am there yet, BUT I will get there. And you will too. If your having a bad day or need a pick me up, just listen to the strength of Jenny in your interview, and you will instantly feel better. Good night ladies, have a great weekend!!

So Tiger Woods, famous golfer may join the ranks of a famous man who cheated on his wife. I have heard all types of information with this, including “The wife should know that since he is famous, he will cheat” to “Tiger should just come forward and be honest about the situation”.

At this point, I don’t know if Tiger cheated or now, but I do know how angry a women can get when they find out. I slapped, screamed, cussed, hit, and did things I never thought I would do to my husband, all out of anger.

Now it does seem a little suspect that he would run into his car with no shoes and not fully dressed and ram into a physical object. It does seem suspect that the wife had shattered the windows. The behavior seems consistent with a man who is afraid as all get out because they never have seen their wife so angry. And last but not least, it seems suspect that he is not saying much about the situation, which makes the gossip trail even worse. I read a good article about advice to Mrs. Woods and you can read that using the link below for your enjoyment.
