Affair Recovery Song 2 – Patti LaBelle

by Jewels on November 27, 2011

A while back I was going to start a section of the website for songs to listen to during affair recovery. Some songs will make you smile, some will make you cry, but you will relate to every song. Well it’s time for me to start that back up. One of the community members Auntieapple suggested this song and I thought it was great for those who have husband’s that are very remorseful and are fighting for their marriage. Enjoy!

Jewels — My current “affair recovery song” is by Kelly Clarkson, Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You). OMG — I absolutely love it!! Heard her sing it on Saturday Night Live last week….and I have listened to it several times this week online at the office. It really picks me up!…especially this being the week I made that HUGE step and got my own apartment.
You should post it for all the others….it is a “spirit-building” song, for sure!

Oh those recovery songs! I had a few different ones. I had as my cell phone ringback tone “I will survive” Gloria Gainer, and “Apologize” by Timbaland. Here are the lyrics to this song, it makes you think.

I’m holding on your rope
Got me ten feet off the ground
And I’m hearing what you say
But I just can’t make a sound
You tell me that you need me
Then you go and cut me down
But wait…
You tell me that you’re sorry
Didn’t think I’d turn around and say..

That it’s too late to apologize, it’s too late
I said it’s too late to apologize, it’s too late

I’d take another chance, take a fall, take a shot for you
And I need you like a heart needs a beat
(But that’s nothing new)
Yeah yeah

I loved you with a fire red, now it’s turning blue
And you say
Sorry like the Angel Heaven let me think was you,
But I’m afraid

It’s too late to apologize, it’s too late
I said it’s too late to apologize, it’s too late
Woahooo woah

It’s too late to apologize, it’s too late
I said it’s too late to apologize, it’s too late
I said it’s too late to apologize, yeah
I said it’s too late to apologize, yeah

I’m holding on your rope
Got me ten feet off the ground…

Hello Nadada,

There are so many women on this site in this same situation, married 30 years, and husband tears your heart out with infidelity. The truth is you might not trust him again, it depends on his behavior and how serious he is about making it work.
